A distant view of St. Michael’s Mount from the beach on the ebb tide, about halfway between Penzance and Marazion. The sea remains calm and still, as it has for some days now. Blued by heat haze Prussia Cove and The Lizard lie on the far side of Mounts Bay beyond the Mount and Marazion . I’ve generally avoided painting St. Michael’s Mount as it is probably the most photographed and painted landmark in this part of Cornwall, but there are some good views to be had from the town of Marazion and I intend to explore the area next year to see what I can do with it.
