Light from the rising sun falls on the Cape and Kenidjack valley. I just had enough time to get a quick colour impression down before the light changed. As the sun climbed higher, skeins of sea fog drifted around the headland from the north, quickly obscuring first the ocean and then the landscape as the fog marched inland. It remained largely misty and cloudy for the rest of the day.

A dull, foggy day, but still worthwhile going outside to paint in the drizzle — a tricky subject with very close tones — the colours being constantly modified by the fog as it repeatedly descends and then lifts again.
