Morning Sunlight at Porth Nanven, 7th June, 2015, 10.45am

Plein air, oil on board apprx. 15 x 24cm

Quite a change in the state of the ocean on a calm day and a falling tide. Painted overlooking the stony bay at Porth Nanven towards the north-facing slopes of Cape Cornwall — the gutteral cry of Choughs nesting in the next zawn ( the young about to fledge any time now ) and the occasional piping call of Kittiwakes ringing out over the ocean.
